We departed MN at about 7:30 pm on Thursday, July 24th, 2003. Liz, Tom, Tim and I drove through the night for about 20 hours before reaching Rock Springs, WY. Dylan warned us that we would be cursing his directions after this point and well, while we may not have been "upset" per-say, we had a few adventures to come...

Here's Tom at a fork in the road - not mentioned in the directions :) We went to the left first and discovered it veered in the wrong direction.

So we decided to leave a sign for future wedding-goers so they would know which way not to go (we weren't sure if going right would get us to the corect place either.)

Can you tell we are confused???

After traveling for a short while on the road we noticed a car behind us. We thought there may be a chance it was someone also on their way to the wedding. It was Rachel!!! She had been lost for a while too :) She was excited to see us!

After about 50 miles on a rough gravel road we arrived at the trailhead - yipeee!!!

Darkness was coming and we had yet to reach the campsite - we had hiked about 8 miles so far and had 1 more to go. We finally made it just before dark - exhausted! But the view the next morning would be beautiful!
The next morning was the wedding...

Following the ceremony, many of us celebrated the event with hiking excursions...

The "reception" took place in the evening and was complete with burritos made by the newlyweds' parents, a bit of rain, and or course some fun beverages (carried all the way out by the bride and groom!)
