This is the front view of our house. Our Jeep is the one on the right.
The other one is a loaner when our Jeep was not feeling so well. |
This outbuilding is our shed. It's raised up off the ground so that
it's easily accessible in the winter when we get a lot of snow. |
This building is a smokehouse for smoking salmon in the summer. You can also tell from this picture that we have quite a bit of snow. |
After Dylan shoveled the roof, there were areas around the house where
we could climb up to access the roof. Talk about a lot of snow. When
Tua would hang out outside he would come spy on my through my jewelry
room window. |
The living room. |
The dining room. |
Dylan is fixing salmon for supper. Now that it's getting closer to
spring, our salmon we caught last August is starting to feel the effects
of the freezer. Dylan is cutting parts away and will then add some kind
of sauce. |
The hallway. |
Festive fishies! As you can tell this is our bathroom. If you look
closely at the toilet, you'll notice a copy of the Bathroom Reader.
It was a freebie with the house. |
Just looking at the picture gives me a warm feeling inside. We have a sauna or what the folks around here call a steam in our house. It's quite common for people to have them. Many native folks use them to bathe. Dylan has gotten quite into the practice of jumping into the fresh show outside the steam. |
This is the wood stove for the steam. After we've finished steaming, we open the door to the steam and the bathroom and heat the rear part of our house. It's quite nice. The blast of heat also sets off our smoke detector. |
